Communicating & update

Lake Champlain - looking across to Mt Mansfield, VT

Communicating around world:
If you want to talk to anyone in the world who has a computer, you just need to download SKYPE (www.skype.com). It is very easy. Make sure you have a headphone with microphone or that your computer has a microphone built in. You talk talk to people over your computers for FREE. It is great! Just remember that Hong Kong is 12 hours ahead, so 2pm here will be 2am for us. My SKYPE name is jbhubbell.

Skype also has call conferencing & chating. There is also an option called SYPE OUT that allows you to purchase minutes & you can call land line phone anywhere in the world from your computer and it is like 2 cents per minute.

Doing OK here. Still packing & cleaning up. Jesse left for NC State this morning. I'm actually doing fine. I guess so much is changing, I'm really glad to see him heading off on his own new adventure. Patti (my sister) has slowly been moving her stuff in. I'm still going to try to get out of here on Thursday, but I'm not really counting on it. Jesse is coming home this weekend to help Patti do some moving, so I might stick around Saturday anyway.

It's been very hot & I'm looking forward to diving into Lake Champlain - it always renews my spirit!!

Hi Friends & Family -

Testing out the blog thing. Thanks to nephew Chip for helping me set this up. So many people said that they enjoyed my emails from my trip in April to Hong Kong, that we figured a blog was a better method of communicating. Hope you all enjoy & I'll try to keep up with my adventures here.
So, I have a ticket to head to HK with John on Sept 4 from Albany, NY. We'll spend the week before in NY with family. Both Brooks & Jesse are coming up so we can have some family time before leaving. Sent Brooks off this morning with his girlfriend, Jen. They are heading to her house in NH for a visit. He is as packed as a 20 year old can be. Jesse leaves for college this weekend, so that is my next focus.
Spoke with John yesterday for a while. He sounds good. Very very busy. Working long hours, but says he's enjoying the challenge.
